Services

At Grace Sparkes House we recognize that all women accessing our services are unique and have unique needs. With this in mind, our team offers a range of supports and programs based on what you feel is right for you and your children. Grace Sparkes House is committed to offering a supportive, empowering approach through all its services.

Ensuring that women and their children leaving violent/abusive relationships have a safe place to stay is the priority of our Shelter Services. The Shelter is a safe, free, and confidential home for women with or without children to reside while they take time for themselves and start looking at various options available to them. Our team will provides non-judgemental support and information to help women make plans for their future.

Through our Outreach Services, our team provides help to women and children who may not need to stay at the shelter, but still require supportive counselling, information, empowerment groups and help navigating various systems. We also provide on-going educational sessions/events to our community and service partners.

In recent years, housing and the lack of affordable housing has certainly become a barrier to women leaving abusive relationships. In response to these challenges, Grace Sparkes House now offers Housing Services to the women and children who have accessed any of our services. McAuley Place, a six unit complex offers affordable, supportive housing to women and children and features the June Petten Community Room that is used for various programs and services.
